Mulata de Córdoba

My “powders of good love” or “little bird powders” to win the will of the loved one were very famous for their effectiveness.

Another of my infallible and most requested remedies were bird amulets, to achieve and retain love. Men had to carry it in their pants pocket, and women had to keep it in their petticoats.

Mysterious and seductive, the mulatto Soledad is the protagonist of the most famous legend of Córdoba. In her room you will learn details about the magical life of the colony, about the black presence in New Spain, and you will unravel the mystery surrounding her character.

Look out the window and you can see her sculpture behind bars.
